Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Heimdall Ragnarson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alvaro Mejia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Heimdall Ragnarson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alvaro Mejia! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mejia misses with a two punch combination.
Ragnarson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Ragnarson trying to control the position but Mejia is working away. Mejia gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Mejia punching from the bottom.
Ragnarson works his way into side control. Mejia tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ragnarson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mejia wants to control but Ragnarson postures up. Mejia is looking to regain half guard here but Ragnarson keeps moving and retains side control. Mejia manages to work his way to half guard, despite Ragnarson's best efforts.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. Mejia manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Mejia is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Mejia throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Mejia throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Ragnarson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Ragnarson gets to his feet. Mejia looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Ragnarson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Excellent takedown into side control there by Ragnarson. Mejia tries to bench press Ragnarson off him but Ragnarson keeps the position. Mejia is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mejia is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Mejia tries to roll over but Ragnarson keeps him under control. Mejia looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Mejia has his hands clasped together around Ragnarson's back. He's all about the action. Mejia trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Mejia is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. Mejia is looking to improve his position but Ragnarson isn't that keen on the idea. Ragnarson takes Mejia's back, avoiding a couple of desperation strikes from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ragnarson gets his hands free as Mejia looks to control. Mejia turns into Ragnarson and is now in his guard.
Ragnarson being controlled here, momentarily. Mejia's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mejia with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ragnarson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Mejia. Mejia working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Ragnarson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Mejia has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ragnarson is breathing heavily. Mejia trying to control the position from guard on top but Ragnarson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mejia slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Mejia wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ragnarson, who protects the arm well. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ragnarson trying to remain calm as Mejia controls from the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Heimdall Ragnarson will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Ragnarson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Ragnarson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ragnarson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mejia tries to get back to half guard but can't. Mejia manages to get back to half guard. Mejia moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Mejia is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Mejia is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Ragnarson has managed to free his arm - good work. Mejia trying to control the action but Ragnarson is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mejia passes to full mount! Mejia looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Mejia thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Mejia throws some wild stikes that Ragnarson manages to avoid easily.
Mejia is working for a guillotine from mount but Ragnarson frees his head quite easily.
Alvaro Mejia has got the better of the ground game so far. Ragnarson tries to hold on but Mejia postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ragnarson has left one of his arms exposed and Mejia doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Ragnarson screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
