Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Paul Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aaron Ramsey! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones misses with a series of wild punches.
Jones throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Ramsey throws a nice head kick!

Jones closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Aaron Ramsey has been cut. Jones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ramsey circles away quickly and effectively. No joy there for Ramsey, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ramsey moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. It looked like Jones was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Ramsey. Jones throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Jones throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ramsey counters with a one-two to the body. Jones lands with a straight right. Ramsey didn't see that one coming. Ramsey lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Jones is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Ramsey feints and as Jones raises his hands in defense, Ramsey changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ramsey gets to his feet. Jones looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Jones gets a clinch. Ramsey tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jones smiles and moves away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ramsey is defended easily by Jones. Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Ramsey rushes Jones and presses him up against the cage. Ramsey breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Jones fails to land with a series of punches.

Jones feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Ramseys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Jones misses with a series of wild punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ramsey shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jones manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Ramsey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ramsey slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Ramsey's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ramsey accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Jones is working an open guard so Ramsey takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Jones is breathing heavily. Sloppy strikes from Jones. Those never looked like landing. Ramsey misses with a wild combination.
We've been informed that Ramsey has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Ramsey fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jones. Jones misses with a combination
and Ramsey counters with a straight right hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Paul Jones will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Aaron Ramsey's cut. That's time! Jones's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Ramsey staying out of range there. Ramsey lands a head kick. Jones smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Jones will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ramsey avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Ramsey is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Good exchange - Jones coming out on top. Jones looks to land a combination but Ramsey avoids it well. Ramsey feints the counter takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ramsey closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ramsey lands in his opponent's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ramsey with a flurry of punches that miss. Ramsey has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Ramsey passes Jones's left leg - he's now in half guard. Jones makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jones. Ramsey with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Ramsey is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Ramsey is pushing down on Jones's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jones is fighting to maintain full guard but Ramsey has managed to sneak the leg through. Ramsey looks to score some points with some ground and pound. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ramsey lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Ramsey is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Ramsey wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jones wants to sweep but Ramsey has passed to side control! Ramsey cracks Jones with a big elbow. Jones takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Ramsey in side control lands a decent elbow. Aaron Ramsey has got the better of the ground game so far. Ramsey working the head and body with strikes. Ramsey cracks Jones with an elbow. That is naaassty. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ramsey lands an elbow. Jones trying to remain calm as Ramsey controls from the top position. Jones takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
And that's the end of the fight! Aaron Ramsey comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Ramsey has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by majority decision... Aaron Ramsey! A less than humble Aaron Ramsey misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
