Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Diego Carrizo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Denis Vrlinic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Denis Vrlinic will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Diego Carrizo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Denis Vrlinic! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carrizo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Vrlinic bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Vrlinic checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. That kick from Carrizo tenderised Vrlinic's leg. Vrlinic is trying to keep his angry face on. Vrlinic misses with a double jab.
Carrizo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Vrlinic scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Carrizo dives in and grabs Vrlinic's left leg, looking for a takedown. Vrlinic pushes down on Carrizo's head and hops out. Carrizo throws a body kick that misses. Carrizo tries to clinch up. Decent striking displayed by Vrlinic there. Vrlinic will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Carrizo is looking to counter with head kicks. Vrlinic throws a hook but Carrizo blocks it. Vrlinic throws a jab but it's blocked by Carrizo. Vrlinic is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Carrizo dodges the punch combination from Vrlinic.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vrlinic cracks Carrizo with an open hand slap. Vrlinic fails to land with a series of punches.
Carrizo appears to be looking for a big counter. Carrizo misses with the combination.
Vrlinic throws a jab when Carrizo was well out of range. Vrlinic misses with a jab, cross combination.
Carrizo slips a straight right by Vrlinic. Carrizo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Vrlinic sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Jab by Vrlinic. Vrlinic misses with a straight right. Vrlinic scores with a jab. Carrizo takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carrizo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Vrlinic avoids it really well and circles away. A little jabbing left from Vrlinic on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diego Carrizo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Carrizo shoots and misses and Vrlinic counters with a stiff right hand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Carrizo misses with a takedown attempt - Vrlinic sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Carrizo is breathing heavily. Vrlinic jabs Carrizo right on the nose. Carrizo blinks but takes it well. Vrlinic lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Carrizo takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Carrizo gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Vrlinic. Vrlinic goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Carrizo has his takedown stuffed and Vrlinic counters by moving into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carrizo takes a shot to the head. Carrizo has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Vrlinic is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Vrlinic softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Carrizo can't get the takedown.
Vrlinic escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Vrlinic has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Vrlinic shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Carrizo eats them both and turns towards Vrlinic to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Vrlinic pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Carrizo back to the cage. Vrlinic follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Carrizo moves forwards but Vrlinic connects with a nice, crisp jab. Vrlinic stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vrlinic wants it to stay on the feet. Vrlinic drives through with a takedown into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Vrlinic in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Vrlinic is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Vrlinic works over Carrizo with some ground and pound from guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vrlinic content to stall in guard here. Vrlinic pushes down on Carrizo's leg and manages to get into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vrlinic is controlling the pace.
Vrlinic thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Carrizo's head. Vrlinic decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Denis Vrlinic dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Vrlinic darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Carrizo gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Vrlinic. Vrlinic misses with a wild combination.
Vrlinic lands with a hook. Carrizo tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. A combination from Vrlinic does no damage. Carrizo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carrizo shoots in but Vrlinic avoids the takedown attempt easily. Vrlinic wants to counter the offense by Carrizo and move into the clinch position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. A cross from Vrlinic lands. Carrizo closes the distance looking to clinch and Carrizo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's one minute gone in the round. Good standup being displayed there by Carrizo as he connects with a hook. Vrlinic is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Vrlinic connects with a good right hand that stumbles Carrizo. Carrizo circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Jab, jab by Vrlinic - just one landing. Carrizo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Vrlinic swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Diego Carrizo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vrlinic's jab looks to have found its range, popping Carrizo under the eye. Nice takedown defense from Vrlinic. No joy for Carrizo on that attempt. Jab from Vrlinic. Carrizo takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Carrizo is rocked! Vrlinic catches Carrizo with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Oh Carrizo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Vrlinic connects with a looping right hand.
Vrlinic drops Carrizo with a straight right hand, right on the button! Vrlinic follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Denis Vrlinic! Denis Vrlinic took his opportunity to call for a title shot in his post fight interview.
