The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller misses with a looping left. Miller moves into range and clinches up with Bey. Bey tries for a takedown. No joy.
Miller changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bey fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Bey with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Miller to score with a decent uppercut. Bey throws the left hand but Miller avoids the punch easily. Miller tries to clinch there but Bey circles away.

Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Miller thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Heyward Bey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Miller. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miller escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bey gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Miller is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Miller looking for submissions from the bottom here. That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bey is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Miller. Bey stands up and beckons Miller to his feet. Bey dodges the punch combination from Miller.
Miller fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Miller throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

A head kick misses from Miller. Miller fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bey sprawls well initially but Miller persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Bey controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Bey is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Bey is working hard here to advance position. Miller decides to stand up. Bey avoids the head kick by Miller.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miller shoots in for a double leg but Bey sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Some wild striking there from Miller.
Miller rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bey moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bey closes the distance and clinches. Miller jumps guard.

Miller has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bey can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. A close second round but Dave Miller will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Bey's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Miller paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Miller goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Bey is looking to clinch but Miller is avoiding it.
Bey feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Miller escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bey gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Bey trying to control the position from guard on top but Miller is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bey thows a big elbow that misses. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Miller connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bey. Bey circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Bey takes one to the side of the head.
