Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Oscar Powell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Callum Ruttenum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruttenum comes into a darkened arena with his song building. DMX- X gon give it to ya kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Oscar Powell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Callum Ruttenum! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ruttenum looks for a takedown but Powell sprawls well. Ruttenum fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Ruttenum shoots in but Powell avoids the takedown attempt easily. Oscar Powell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Callum Ruttenum. Ruttenum fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ruttenum gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Powell counters with a nice body shot. Powell's jab looks to have found its range, popping Ruttenum under the eye. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Powell closes the distance and clinches. A left hand lands to the body for Powell.
Ruttenum looks winded! Ruttenum drops down looking for an ankle pick but Powell pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ruttenum doesn't succeed with the takedown and Powell counters by clinching up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Powell escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Powell takes a swing at Ruttenum's ribcage but misses. Ruttenum tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Powell connects with a single shot there. Powell stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Callum Ruttenum seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Powell shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Powell working the head and body with strikes. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Powell has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Powell looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Powell seems content to control. Powell lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Nice strikes from Powell there. Ground and pound from Powell. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Powell is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Powell working over Ruttenum with some ground and pound. Ruttenum looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Powell lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Powell is working for a submission of some sort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Powell is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Ruttenum wants to improve his position but Powell is controlling well.
Powell winds up and cracks Ruttenum with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Powell trying to control the pace. Powell scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Powell landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Powell seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Powell lands a nice short elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It looked like Powell wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Ruttenum moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Ruttenum shoots in for a takedown but Powell shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Powell attempts a counter takedown but Ruttenum avoids it well and moves away. Ruttenum misses with a takedown attempt and Powell holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Powell is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Powell lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Ruttenum. Powell has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Ruttenum is trying to keep an underhook but Powell manages to get the takedown into half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Powell connects with a nice short shot to Ruttenum's temple. Powell lands with a punch from half guard. Ruttenum is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Powell locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Ruttenum is forced to tap!
