Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Mironov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tonothan Kuhula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mironov's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Down by Law - by Madball. Kuhula is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Native Drums from the South Pacific. Tonothan Kuhula will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

23 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tonothan Kuhula! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kuhula lands a lovely overhand right.
It looks like Sergei Mironov has been cut. Mironov uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kuhula. Mironov blocks a jab. Kuhula misses with an uppercut
and Mironov counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kuhula thinking. Kuhula swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kuhula gets caught napping as Mironov dives in and scores a takedown. Kuhula manages to retain guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Kuhula manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mironov manages to break the clinch.
Mironov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kuhula as he avoids it easily. Tonothan Kuhula seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mironov throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
It looks like Tonothan Kuhula has been cut. Kuhula misses with an uppercut. Mironov saw that one coming. Kuhula stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Kuhula misses with an uppercut
and Mironov counters by moving into the clinch. Mironov manages to break the clinch.
Kuhula rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mironov moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kuhula throws a lazy uppercut
and Mironov counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Kuhula! Kuhula throws Mironov to one side and escapes!
That's one minute gone in the round. Mironov takes one to the chin there. Kuhula misses with a series of wild punches.
Kuhula swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mironov is looking to counter the offense by Kuhula and move into the clinch. Kuhula tries to sprawl but Mironov drives through with a takedown into half guard. Kuhula makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mironov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kuhula manages to avoid it. Kuhula throws a right hand that Mironov ducks under and follows up with a left that Mironov also avoids with ease. Mironov shoots in looking for a takedown. Kuhula tries to sprawl out of it but Mironov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kuhula manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kuhula keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sergei Mironov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mironov throws a sloppy head kick and Kuhula moves out of range easily. Kuhula's jab looks to have found its range, popping Mironov under the eye. Kuhula misses the shot to the body. Kuhula misses with a two punch combination.

and Kuhula cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Kuhula dips to his left and cracks Mironov with an uppercut! Kuhula throws a nice looking combination but Mironov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kuhula throws a right and a left that both miss. Kuhula rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Mironov counters with a low kick, right behind Kuhula 's knee. Mironov throws a series of strikes that have Kuhula backpedaling.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kuhula throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Sergei Mironov's cut is getting worse. Mironov looking to score a takedown here. Kuhula is defending well but Mironov drives through and ends up in Kuhula's guard. Mironov wants to control from the top but Kuhula keeps moving. Mironov might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Mironov is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kuhula is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Kuhula wants to stand up but Mironov is controlling him. Mironov forces his way into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mironov trying to mount his opponent but Kuhula defends it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kuhula can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mironov is keen to just control but Kuhula is a slippery customer. Mironov is looking for a kimura here.
Mironov content to control rather than advance. Mironov passes to full mount! The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Mironov controlling his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tonothan Kuhula dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Kuhula has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Mironov. Kuhula is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Mironov with a lazy takedown attempt and Kuhula counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mironov thinking. Mironov throws a right and a left that both miss. Nice takedown defense from Kuhula. No joy for Mironov on that attempt. Mironov on the wrong end of a nice jab. A looping hook to the body misses from Kuhula. Mironov does a little dance to reset his feet. As Kuhula looks to move away, Mironov throws a big counter combo but Kuhula just gets out of the way. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kuhula misses with a wild body shot. An attempted straight right counter from Mironov misses the target. The crowd cheers as Kuhula lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mironov doesn't seem phased though. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kuhula.

Kuhula has one foot on Mironov's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Mironov shoots in but Kuhula avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sergei Mironov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mironov keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kuhula. Mironov wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Sergei Mironov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mironov tries for a takedown but Kuhula sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mironov tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kuhula swivels and escapes.

Mironov pushes Kuhula against the cage but Kuhula circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Kuhula misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mironov.
Kuhula scores with a jab to the body. Kuhula throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Kuhula throws a right and a left that both miss. Kuhula throws the left hand but Mironov avoids the punch easily. Mironov thinks about countering with a head kick. Kuhula lands a two punch combo.

Sergei Mironov's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Kuhula connects with a combination that backs up Mironov into the cage. Kuhula lands a flurry of punches that gets past Mironov's guard. Mironov is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Kuhula bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
