The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gray looking to score a takedown here. Keene is defending well but Gray drives through and ends up in Keene's guard. Keene pulls Gray in close to prevent any damage. Gray throws a big elbow that misses. Keene wants to sweep but no luck. Keene is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Keene is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Gray rolls with it to try and escape but Keene cranks on the arm and Gray is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Sam Keene! A relieved looking Sam Keene thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
