Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chang Wu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brooklyn King! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Anthony Taglia and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King avoids the head kick by Wu.
King is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Wu shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as King sprawls well. King wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wu gets slowly back to his feet. As Wu backs off King throws a huge counter combo but Wu manages to avoid it all. King bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
It looks like Chang Wu has been cut. Wu doesn't succeed with the takedown and King counters with a nice uppercut. King stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and King wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chang Wu. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wu fails with the takedown and King counters with a nice uppercut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wu throws a lazy head kick and King counters with a nice uppercut. Wu misses with a takedown attempt and King cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Wu doesn't succeed with the takedown and King counters with a stiff right hand. Wu is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wu doesn't succeed with the takedown and King counters with a head kick from the bowels of hell that crumples Wu! This one is all over!
