Tree Knee Dad comes to the cage accompanied by Not Falling by Mudvayne. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alton Newcastle! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tree Knee Dad is looking to slow Newcastle down with leg kicks. A lazy left from Newcastle finds it's target. Newcastle misses the shot to the body. Tree Knee Dad misses with a low kick.
Tree Knee Dad misses with a wild body shot. A little jabbing left from Newcastle on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Newcastle throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Newcastle looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Tree Knee Dad appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Newcastle looks to clinch and Tree Knee Dad counters with a takedown into side control. Tree Knee Dad is looking to take a break and control but Newcastle is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Newcastle is looking to regain half guard here but Tree Knee Dad keeps moving and retains side control. Newcastle sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Newcastle is trying to get back to full guard. Newcastle is trying to maintain the position but Tree Knee Dad is very close to passing his half guard. Tree Knee Dad wants to free his trapped foot but Newcastle is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Tree Knee Dad looking to control but Newcastle is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Newcastle is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Tree Knee Dad working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Newcastle keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Newcastle is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Tree Knee Dad trying to control the action but Newcastle is working from the bottom. Newcastle is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Tree Knee Dad passes Newcastle's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Newcastle wants to improve his position but Tree Knee Dad is controlling well.
Newcastle is trying to control but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tree Knee Dad uses his free foot to push down on Newcastle's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Newcastle. Tree Knee Dad is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Newcastle has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Newcastle! Tree Knee Dad wants to sweep but no luck. Newcastle tries to free his leg and advance position but Tree Knee Dad is retaining full guard. Tree Knee Dad bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Newcastle's guard. Newcastle trying to control the position.
Newcastle pulls Tree Knee Dad in close to prevent any damage. Newcastle looking to sweep here. No luck so far. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tree Knee Dad drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tree Knee Dad wants to lay and pray for a moment but Newcastle keeps working. The referee asks Tree Knee Dad politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Tree Knee Dad prefers to stall for the moment though. Tree Knee Dad thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Newcastle tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tree Knee Dad wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tree Knee Dad is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Newcastle has escaped the position, nice work there. Newcastle gets back to half guard.

Tree Knee Dad seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Newcastle does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Newcastle is looking to improve his position.

Tree Knee Dad trying to control but he's not successful this time. Newcastle regains half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tree Knee Dad is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Newcastle! Tree Knee Dad is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Newcastle can do to turn this around? Newcastle is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Newcastle preventing the sweep. Newcastle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tree Knee Dad swivels though and keeps the full guard. Tree Knee Dad looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Tree Knee Dad is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Newcastle is staying active underneath Tree Knee Dad, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Newcastle moves into full guard.
Tree Knee Dad lying in Newcastle's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Newcastle decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Tree Knee Dad taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Alton Newcastle opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot!
