Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Richard West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy McGeady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGeady has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Billy McGeady will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West lands a right hook to the body.
West misses with an uppercut
and West takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
West throws a body shot but no joy.
Decent striking displayed by West there.
West closes the distance and clinches.
West scores with a shot to the side of McGeady's head.
A nice left hand lands by West.
West lands a nice uppercut.
West is leaning against McGeady and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
McGeady looks winded!
A body shot lands from West.
West digs a right hand underneath McGeady's ribcage. McGeady let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

West lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
West lands with a light punch inside.
West lands on the inside with an uppercut.
West lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
West makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
McGeady is rocked!

West misses with a punch on the inside.
McGeady is still on wobbly legs! Can West finish him?
West misses with the head strike.
McGeady blocking some punches.
West throws a head punch that misses.
West working aggressively here.
West swings away with an uppercut that misses.
McGeady seems to have recovered his senses.
A body shot lands from West.
West dips a shoulder and cracks McGeady with a mighty uppercut! McGeady falls back against the cage and West unloads with a barrage of strikes! McGeady is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - West screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Richard West!
