Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bas Dekkers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Cronos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dekkers's entrance music is Shells - Get your roll on. A fine choice. Cronos has chosen Sandstorm as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Jose Cronos enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bas Dekkers! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
31 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jose Cronos! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cronos connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Cronos has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Dekkers throws a leg kick but Cronos sees it coming and moves out of range. Cronos thuds his right hand into Dekkers's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Cronos throws a series of punches but Dekkers avoids them all with ease. Cronos throws an overhand right that lands on Dekkers's shoulder, as Dekkers tries to avoid the shot. Cronos misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dekkers.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Dekkers doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Cronos might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Cronos throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Dekkers counters with a nice leg kick. Cronos looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Dekkers thinks about countering with a head kick. Cronos takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Cronos's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Dekkers throws a leg kick which misses Cronos's front leg but catches the back leg as Cronos tries to avoid it. Dekkers steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cronos. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dekkers cracks the inside of Cronos's front leg. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Dekkers, right into the meat.

and Dekkers counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A nice inside leg kick there by Dekkers. That's going to slow Cronos down. Cronos throws a looping overhand right but Dekkers ducks down to avoid it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Bas Dekkers will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Cronos looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. It looked like Dekkers was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
