The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaw misses the shot to the body.
Shaw looks to score with a jab to the body but Thomas is just out of range.

Thomas works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Shaw shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Shaw has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Shaw there as he acknowledges the shot.

Shaw is rocked!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Thomas.
Shaw is still on wobbly legs! Can Thomas finish him?
Thomas has Shaw up against the cage in a clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Clinched against the cage, Thomas lands a big elbow that drops Shaw! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Shaw is complaining that he's OK but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Julian Thomas!
A relieved looking Julian Thomas thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
