Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Smith comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Smith digs a good body shot into Lopez's ribs.
Smith lands a nice looking body shot.
Smith takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Smith works Lopez's body with a nice hook.
Smith lands a right hook to the body.
Lopez tries to move into range but Smith moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Lopez on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Lopez doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Smith lands a nice shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith connects with a body shot that sends Lopez's belly button to the back.
Lopez takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Smith misses with a hook to the body
and Lopez decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Smith's guard.
Smith keeping moving, preventing Lopez from controlling successfully.
Lopez sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Smith's guard.
Lopez in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Smith tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Lopez!
