Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lance Le (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Nookie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lance Le! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Steve Nookie! The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Topper Green and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Le closes the distance and pushes Nookie back into the cage. Le wants a takedown.
Nookie has Le pressed against the cage.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Nookie. The crowd are getting on Nookie's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch. Nookie pulls guard successfully.
Nookie is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Le's corner is telling him to maintain position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Le could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Le stands up from Nookie's guard - Le perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nookie closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Le did well to prevent Nookie getting side control. Le wants to get back to full guard. Le is refusing to be controlled, as Nookie sits in half guard. Le regains full guard. Nicely done. Le pulls Nookie in close to his closed guard and prevents Nookie from doing any damage or advancing position. Nookie really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Le. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Nookie scoring with punches to the head and body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nookie wants to control from the top but Le keeps moving. Le throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Nookie trying to control but Le is working from the bottom. Le is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Le is trying to control the position but Nookie postures up. Nookie preventing the sweep. Le not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Nookie. Le shrugs it off though. A momentary lapse in concentration from Le enables Nookie to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Le manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Le uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Le has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Nookie. Le gets a clinch. Nookie breaks the clinch.
Nookie dips down and scores with a jab to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Le closes the distance and clinches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nookie working hard to break the clinch. Nookie successfully pulls guard.
Le's corner is telling him to maintain position. Le has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Le won't allow Nookie to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Steve Nookie will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Nookie scores with a hook. Le takes the fight into the clinch. Nookie gets control of Le's arms and successfully pulls guard. Nookie will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Le is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Le's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nookie is looking for a triangle but Le pushes his legs off easily.
Nookie wants to sweep here but Le controlling him for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Le controls from within his opponent's guard. Le gets to his feet. Nookie looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Nookie fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Le looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Nookie misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nookie fails with an attempt to clinch.
Le is looking to counter punch. Le darts in trying to clinch and Nookie counters with a three punch combo that has Le backing up. Le nods at Nookie to acknowledge the strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Le tries to sprawl but Nookie drives through with a takedown into half guard. Le trying to control from the bottom.
Le actively working from the bottom here. Le is trying to maintain the position but Nookie is very close to passing his half guard. Le works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nookie is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Nookie wants to control from the top but Le keeps moving. Le is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Nookie presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Le is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Nookie wants to break free but Le has control.

Le stands up from Nookie's guard - Le perhaps looking for a knockout. Nookie throws a head kick that half lands.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nookie throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Nookie is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. A shot to the liver by Nookie. Beautiful body shot. Le tries to close the distance and clinch but Nookie swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Le moves into the clinch. Le misses with some punches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nookie has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Le is trying to keep an underhook but Nookie manages to get the takedown into half guard. Le kicks Nookie off and gets back to his feet. Nookie is breathing heavily. Nookie fails with an attempt to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Steve Nookie will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Nookie keeps the fight on the outside. Le avoids the head kick by Nookie.
Le closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Le is trying to break the clinch but Nookie is controlling him. Nookie gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Le controlling the position well. Le moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Le pulls Nookie in to control the position. Le might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nookie avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Nookie won't allow Le to get back to his feet. Nookie trying to control the position from guard on top but Le is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Le pulls Nookie in close to his closed guard and prevents Nookie from doing any damage or advancing position. Nookie preventing the sweep. Le has Nookie pulled in close to control his posture. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nookie won't allow Le to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Le lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Le controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Nookie is looking for a triangle but Le pushes his legs off easily.

Le slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Nookie scores with a push kick. Nookie circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nookie throws a right hand that Le ducks under and follows up with a left that Le also avoids with ease. Le wants to clinch. Nookie wants to counter with a clinch but Le pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Le looks to clinch and Nookie counters with a two punch combo. Nookie throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Le was covering up waiting for the punch and Nookie finishes the takedown easily into guard. Nookie throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Le has control of Nookie's left arm, preventing Nookie from doing any damage. Nookie must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Nookie trying to control but Le is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Steve Nookie comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Nookie winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
