Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lacy Fry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Requis Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Black is defended easily by Fry.
Fry circles away from the clinch attempt.
Fry throws a big counter combination but Black scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Fry pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fry is trying hard to land a takedown here. Black sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Black dives in for a single leg takedown but Fry sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fry shoots in looking for a takedown but Black manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fry's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Black doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Fry counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Lacy Fry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Requis Black.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Fry enables Black to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Fry manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Fry working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Black has passed into half guard!

Black prevents Fry from standing back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Black is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Fry sees it coming and defends easily.

Fry is thowing punches from the bottom. Black grabs hold of a loose arm and pivots for an armbar! It's tight and Fry has to tap! Superb work there from Black!
