The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dice jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Newson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Dice wants to get back to his feet.
Dice tries to improve position but can't.
Dice misses with a strike from the bottom.
Newson lands some shots froms side control.
Newson blocks the strikes from Dice.
Newson landing strikes.
Dice parries the strikes from Newson easily there. Newson is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Dice to escape.
Newson lands an elbow.
Newson prevents Dice from escaping the position.
Dice is looking for a sweep.
Dice explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Newson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Dice is rocked!
A big right followed by a crushing left from Newson knocks Dice out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
