Shaw has chosen Silver Bullet - Bring Forth The Guillotine as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Luigi Bates! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mick Shaw! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bates misses with a body punch
and Shaw counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Shaw slips under a jab from Bates. Shaw avoids the body shot from Bates.
Bates misses with a right hand and Shaw counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Bates is lucky that one didn't land flush. Bates misses with a hook. Shaw is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Bates with a body shot. Bates misses with a jab to the body
and Shaw cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Shaw cracks the inside of Bates's front leg. Bates looks to throw the jab but Shaw is out of range. Shaw has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Shaw throws a head kick but Bates moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shaw takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Bates moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Bates throws an off balance right hand
and Shaw counters with a straight right hand. This has been an exciting period of action! Shaw uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bates. Bates looks to land a right hand but Shaw moved out of range. A nice side step and Shaw releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shaw lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Bates connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Shaw throws a head kick but Bates moves out of range.
Luigi Bates seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bates lands with a cross. Shaw is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Bates ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Shaw moves away. Shaw attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Shaw moves out of range as Bates strikes. Shaw takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Mick Shaw is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bates swings widly with a right hand
and Shaw counters with a head kick. Shaw just misses with a punch to the body.
Bates misses with a shot to the body and Shaw counters with a two punch combo. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bates missing with a left hand there. Shaw was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Shaw tries a quick counter leg kick but Bates is wise to it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shaw lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

enabling Shaw to counter with a crisp jab. Shaw walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. A looping hook to the body misses from Bates. Shaw does a little dance to reset his feet. Shaw misses with a head kick.

Bates moves out of range as Shaw strikes. Bates tries to counter with a takedown but Shaw is quick to defend against it. Bates closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Shaw! Bates dives in looking to finish! Shaw is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
