Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Donnie Darko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seto Takiama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Seto Takiama enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Donnie Darko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Seto Takiama!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darko moves into the clinch successfully.
Darko gets underhooks to prevent Takiama's takedown attempt.
Darko tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

It looks like Seto Takiama has been cut.

Darko jumps into guard, dragging Takiama to the mat.

Darko manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Takiama manages to get himself to full guard.
Takiama is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Takiama utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Darko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Takiama swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Darko is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Takiama keeping moving, preventing Darko from controlling successfully.
Darko passes into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Darko wants to stand up but Takiama manages to regain full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Takiama is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Darko is pushing down on Takiama's leg trying to pass to half guard. Takiama is fighting to maintain full guard but Darko has managed to sneak the leg through.
Darko escapes and gets back to his feet.
Takiama has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Darko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Takiama looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Darko fails with the takedown
and Takiama counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
No luck for Darko with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Donnie Darko. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Darko keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Darko drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Takiama gets back to half guard.
Darko throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Takiama to regain full guard.
Darko got a little sloppy there for a moment and Takiama has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Darko has managed to get both his arms back between Takiama's legs - danger averted.

Darko is really struggling to control Takiama but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Darko is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Darko moves into full mount! Takiama won't be happy about that!
Darko is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Takiama has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Takiama!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Takiama thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Darko shoots in and bounces Takiama off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Darko might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Darko is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Darko gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

and Takiama counters with a straight right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Darko is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Takiama to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Darko throws a strike but Takiama rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Darko looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Takiama is defending well. Darko quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Takiama has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Darko celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
