Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Hale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolai Luzhin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hale comes to the cage accompanied by Dead Sara - Weatherman. Luzhin is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The time has come.... The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
22 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nikolai Luzhin!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Sam Margolis and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luzhin keeps Hale at a distance using the push kick.
Nikolai Luzhin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hale looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Luzhin has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hale is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Luzhin.
Hale wants to control but Luzhin is keeping him busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Luzhin tries to buck Hale off but Hale is having none of it.

Hale has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Luzhin manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Luzhin has a hand on Hale's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Hale takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Hale lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Hale lands a big shot there that rocks Luzhin but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hale avoids the attempt from Luzhin to control.
Hale trying to control but Luzhin is having none of it.
Luzhin is working to get back to half guard.

Luzhin tries to lock up and control but Hale gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Luzhin takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Hale prevents Luzhin from getting the reversal.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hale cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Hale is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Hale seems to be looking for submissions.
Luzhin is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Hale has latched onto it... Big trouble! Hale pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Luzhin is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Hale!

Brandon Hale tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
