0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Al Pugin! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pugin is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Gorman. Pugin looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Gorman dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Gorman has managed to clinch.
Gorman working some nice short punches in the clinch. Gorman lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Pugin avoiding damage as Gorman throws knees to the body.

Gorman scores with an uppercut up the middle. Pugin is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Gorman is defending well. Gorman scores with a nice hook to the head. A short right from Gorman on the inside. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gorman is looking to score with knees to the body. It looks like Al Pugin has been cut. Gorman moves into the clinch. Gorman softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes.
Pugin is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gorman is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Pugin is still on wobbly legs! Can Gorman finish him? Gorman is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Pugin is defending well for now. Gorman breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gorman shoots for a double leg takedown but Pugin sprawls well. He's pushed Gorman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Pugin seems to have recovered his senses. Gorman stalks Pugin and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Pugin's face. Pugin staggers backwards, shaken. Pugin is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Gorman moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Melvin Gorman!
