Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nem Sis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sis comes to the cage accompanied by Tsunami. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nem Sis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Rogers!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers misses with a lunging right hand

and Sis counters with a takedown into side control.
Rogers wants to control but Sis postures up.

Rogers throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Rogers has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Sis after a bit of a struggle.
Rogers drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sis pulls his leg out and moves away.

Sis gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rogers missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Rogers pushing down on Sis's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Rogers thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sis's head.

Sis is staying active underneath Rogers, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Sis regains full guard. Nicely done.
Sis is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Sis looking for a sweep. Not yet Sis, not yet.
Rogers throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Sis is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Rogers is refusing to be controlled, as Sis sits in half guard.
Sis is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Rogers is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Rogers wants to control but Sis is keeping busy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sis thows a huge punch but Rogers dodges it nicely.
Sis is looking to take a break and control but Rogers is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rogers has one foot on Sis's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Sis lands a really nice looking cross but Rogers seems unphased.
Horrible takedown attempt by Rogers or perhaps it was just good defense by Sis, which made it look bad.
Nem Sis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam Rogers.
Sis moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Sis scores with a jab. Rogers acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Rogers looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Rogers shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sis sprawls well. Sis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rogers gets slowly back to his feet.
Sis throws a front kick aimed at Rogers's knee but Rogers avoids it well.
Rogers with the counter takedown but Sis avoids it easily.

Sis takes the fight into the clinch.
Sis throws a punch but it's blocked by Rogers.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sis can't find room to land a body shot as Rogers controls the action.
Rogers stops a takedown attempt from Sis.

Rogers is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Sis can't fight it off and eventually Rogers manages to take the fight to the floor. Sis looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Sis controls Rogers momentarily but Rogers frees himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nem Sis dominated that round.
That's time! Sis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Sis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rogers takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Rogers throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sis was covering up waiting for the punch and Rogers finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Sis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rogers's guard.

Sis is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Rogers is trying to keep Sis in close.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sis lands a couple of digs.
Sis won't allow Rogers to get back to his feet.
Sis throwing strikes from guard but Rogers blocks nicely.

Rogers is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sis is controlling him.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Sis pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rogers is keeping the position for now.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sis enables Rogers to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sis manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Sis preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Rogers lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Rogers postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Rogers shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sis is trying to defend but Rogers finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

A solid leg kick lands there for Sis.
Nem Sis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rogers fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Sis stuffs the takedown.
Sis throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Rogers.


It looks like Sam Rogers has been cut.
Sis throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rogers on the side of the head.

Nem Sis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam Rogers.

Rogers dives in and grabs Sis's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sis pushes down on Rogers's head and hops out.

Sis throws a body shot but no joy.
Rogers shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sis as he avoids it easily.

A head kick misses from Sis.

Sis lands with a hook. Rogers tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Sis throws a quick inside leg kick.
Sis scores with a push kick.
Nem Sis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Sis gets in close and instigates a clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sis lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Sis fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Sis has a couple of punches blocked by Rogers.

Sis wants the takedown. Rogers is fighting it off but Sis persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Rogers's guard against the cage.

Sis throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rogers works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Rogers lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Rogers cracks Sis with a solid left hand.
Rogers looking to sit in guard and control but Sis gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Sis throws a strike but Rogers rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Sis is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rogers can do to turn this around?
