Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jarni Kutsoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manus Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kutsoo comes to the cage accompanied by Enter Sandman. Grant has chosen Thunderstruck - AC/DC as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Manus Grant enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
28 - 25 - 0, fighting out of London, Jarni Kutsoo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Manus Grant! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Dean Styles and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grant with a jab. Manus Grant seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A jab from Grant misses. Grant misses the shot to the body. Grant throws a series of punches but Kutsoo avoids them all with ease. Kutsoo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Grant is fending him off so far but Kutsoo persists. Nope, Grant circles away and we're back to standing. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Grant.

Kutsoo on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Grant throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Grant throws a wild body kick that Kutsoo sees coming a mile off. Kutsoo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Grant sprawls well initially but Kutsoo persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Grant manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Kutsoo keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kutsoo has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Grant after a bit of a struggle. Kutsoo takes an elbow to the forehead. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Grant is looking to control Kutsoo's arms but Kutsoo gets an underhook and turns him. Now Grant has his back to the cage. Kutsoo drops down looking for an ankle pick but Grant pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jarni Kutsoo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grant tries to bum rush Kutsoo with a series of wild strikes but Kutsoo uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Kutsoo drops down looking for a counter takedown but Grant sprawls and moves away. Grant throws a head kick that half lands.
Grant throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Kutsoo counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Grant pushes Kutsoo off and gets back to his feet. Kutsoo takes one on the chin but seems OK.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Grant throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Grant gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Grant utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kutsoo lands a couple of digs. Grant tries to land a sweep but no joy. Grant is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Grant seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Kutsoo is refusing to be controlled, as Grant sits in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grant is controlling the pace.
Grant seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kutsoo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Kutsoo is trying to get back to full guard. Grant is trying to control the action in half guard but Kutsoo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kutsoo gets back to full guard.
Kutsoo seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Grant wants to pass the guard but Kutsoo is keeping the position. Grant trying to control the position from guard on top but Kutsoo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Grant stands and steps away. Kutsoo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Nice body punch from Grant. Manus Grant is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Grant wants to clinch up but Kutsoo keeps it at a distance. A nice leg kick lands there from Grant. A looping hook to the body misses from Grant. Kutsoo does a little dance to reset his feet. Kutsoo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Grant kicks Kutsoo off and gets back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Grant throws a body shot but no joy. Grant throws a nice head kick!

Kutsoo shoots in and bounces Grant off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Kutsoo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Grant manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kutsoo has Grant in his guard.
Grant decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Manus Grant dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Grant takes a swing at Kutsoo's ribcage but misses. Manus Grant seems to be getting the better of the standup. Kutsoo shoots and misses and Grant counters with a lovely shot to the body. Kutsoo shoots in for a double leg but Grant sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A head kick by Grant misses and Kutsoo counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Kutsoo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Grant works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Kutsoo lands a couple of decent looking shots. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kutsoo's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Grant manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kutsoo manages to get himself to full guard.
Grant pushing down on Kutsoo's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Grant tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Grant postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Kutsoo to stand up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kutsoo looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Grant! Grant can't do much from the bottom here. Kutsoo working the head and body with strikes. Kutsoo looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Grant avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Kutsoo. Grant is looking to regain half guard here but Kutsoo keeps moving and retains side control. Kutsoo working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Grant manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Grant has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Grant tries to pass to full mount but Kutsoo defends it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kutsoo is looking for a sweep. Grant is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Grant is pressing down on Kutsoo's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kutsoo is holding on for now. Grant perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Grant is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Kutsoo manages to get to full guard. Grant looking to sit in guard and control but Kutsoo gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grant is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Grant is trying to control the action in half guard but Kutsoo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Kutsoo makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kutsoo. Manus Grant has got the better of the ground game so far. Grant got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kutsoo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Grant has managed to get both his arms back between Kutsoo's legs - danger averted. Kutsoo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kutsoo looking for a guillotine here but Grant defends easily.

Grant controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Jarni Kutsoo will probably get the nod. That's time! Kutsoo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Kutsoo tries for a takedown but Grant circles away easily and Grant counters with a right hand to the body. Horrible takedown attempt by Kutsoo or perhaps it was just good defense by Grant, which made it look bad. Kutsoo darts in looking for a takedown but Grant gets double underhooks and turns Kutsoo into the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jarni Kutsoo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Grant thuds a left hand into Kutsoo's body. Jarni Kutsoo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kutsoo closes the distance and clinches up with Grant, looking for a takedown. Kutsoo pushes Grant against the cage but Grant circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. A head kick from Grant lands but Kutsoo takes it in his stride. Grant scores with a shot to the body.
Kutsoo takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Grant displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kutsoo. Grant scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kutsoo doesn't seem bothered though. Grant scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kutsoo blocks a head kick by Grant.
Grant plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Grant moves into the clinch. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Grant lands a nice knee to the body. Grant manages to break the clinch.
Kutsoo takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Kutsoo takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Grant scores with the left hand. Kutsoo knows he should have avoided that one. Kutsoo shoots in looking for a takedown. Grant tries to sprawl out of it but Kutsoo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Grant manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Grant! But no joy. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Grant looks to land a combination but Kutsoo avoids it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A looping hook to the body misses from Grant. Kutsoo does a little dance to reset his feet. Kutsoo darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Kutsoo lands with a punch from half guard. Kutsoo is working for a kimura but Grant is defending it quite comfortably.
Grant is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kutsoo scores with a couple of nice shots. Grant is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Grant trying to control from the bottom.

Kutsoo seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Kutsoo is nestled in close to Grant, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Kutsoo wants to work for an arm triangle but Grant is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kutsoo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kutsoo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Grant swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kutsoo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Grant is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kutsoo, into his guard. Grant wants to pass the guard but Kutsoo is keeping the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Grant gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Grant pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kutsoo shoots in and drives through. Grant sprawls well. Grant looks to land a body kick but Kutsoo moved away. Grant looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Grant just misses with a punch to the body.
Kutsoo avoids a kick to the body.

and Kutsoo counters with a nice double leg into guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Manus Grant comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Grant has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
