Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tad Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ale Castro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ale Castro has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Tad Kim's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tad Kim! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ale Castro! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Chris Dean and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Castro wants to clinch up but Kim keeps it at a distance. Castro doesn't manage to clinch there - Kim circles away.
Kim clinches with his opponent.
Kim breaks from the clinch.
Castro fails with the takedown and Kim counters with a series of strikes. Castro will be more careful next time no doubt. Kim closes the distance and clinches. Kim managing to block the knees to the body from Castro.
Kim turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Kim manages to end up in side control. Kim working away. Kim cracks Castro with a big elbow. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Castro wants to control but Kim postures up. Kim working the head with strikes. Castro is looking for a sweep. Kim cracks Castro with a big right hand but Castro just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Kim creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
That's one minute gone in the round. Castro takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Kim thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Castro tries to bench press Kim off him but Kim keeps the position. Castro can't do much from the bottom here. Castro is looking to reverse the position. Kim cracks Castro with an elbow. That is naaassty. Kim could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Castro tries to get back to half guard but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kim has hold of Castro's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Castro seems comfortable defending it but Kim has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Castro is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Castro is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Kim couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Tad Kim!
