Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lee Fernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Wilshere (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee Fernandez looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Wilshere! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fernandez looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Fernandez wants to control from the top but Wilshere keeps moving. Fernandez wants to pass the guard but Wilshere is keeping the position. Fernandez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Wilshere is trying to control the position but Fernandez postures up. Fernandez loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Wilshere wants to stand but Fernandez is controlling the position. Fernandez trying to control but Wilshere is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wilshere preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Fernandez throws a big right hand that misses. Wilshere wants to get back to his feet but Fernandez is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Fernandez throws a big right hand that misses.

Our spies down at at Power Quest inform us that Wilshere has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Fernandez won't allow Wilshere to get back to his feet. Fernandez working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Wilshere's head. Wilshere really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fernandez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fernandez showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Fernandez trying to control the position from guard on top but Wilshere is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fernandez lands a couple of decent looking shots. Fernandez throwing strikes from guard but Wilshere blocks nicely. Fernandez lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Fernandez sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Wilshere's guard. Fernandez seems to be working for a kimura but Wilshere defends the submission attempt. Fernandez missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fernandez wants to work for an arm triangle but Wilshere is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Fernandez thows a huge punch but Wilshere dodges it nicely.
Wilshere is refusing to be controlled, as Fernandez sits in half guard. Fernandez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Fernandez is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Fernandez is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Wilshere sees it coming and defends easily. Fernandez prevents Wilshere from improving his position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Wilshere tries to kick Fernandez off but Fernandez keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lee Fernandez dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Wilshere shoots in looking for a takedown. Fernandez tries to sprawl out of it but Wilshere keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fernandez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Wilshere tries to clinch but Fernandez moves out of range. Fernandez attempts a counter takedown but Wilshere avoids it well and moves away. Fernandez circles away from the clinch attempt so Fernandez counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Wilshere uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Fernandez looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wilshere is breathing heavily. Fernandez tries for a takedown but Wilshere sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilshere misses with the combination.
Fernandez appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Fernandez keeps the fight on the outside. Wilshere misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Wilshere throws a combination that misses so Fernandez counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Fernandez throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Fernandez forces his way into half guard. Lee Fernandez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Fernandez is trying for a kimura here. Wilshere looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Fernandez wins by kimura!
