These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morris with a lazy takedown attempt
and Del Pilar counters with a left and a right that stings Morris .
Morris shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Del Pilar sprawls well. Del Pilar wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Morris gets slowly back to his feet.

Del Pilar feinted with a counter takedown.
Emilio Del Pilar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hary Morris .
Morris throws a lazy uppercut
and Del Pilar counters with a straight right hand.
Del Pilar clinches up against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Del Pilar is trying to trip Morris . He has hold of a leg but Morris is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Del Pilar persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Morris is looking to stand back up but Del Pilar counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Morris .
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Del Pilar scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Morris wants to control but Del Pilar passes into side.
