Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Lilke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Readen Bugle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Lilke or perhaps it was just good defense by Bugle which made him look bad. Bugle tries to clinch there but Lilke circles away.
Lilke closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bugle circles away. Lilke tries to land a leg kick but Bugle saw it coming and moves away.
Bugle fails with the takedown and Lilke counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Bugle won't allow Lilke to pass to mount. Lilke is thwarting Bugle's attempts to control the position. Bugle slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Lilke avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bugle escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lilke gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Bugle looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Lilke wants to control from the top but Bugle keeps moving. Bugle has a closed guard, preventing Lilke from standing up. Bugle is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Lilke taking some punishment here, with Bugle in his half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bugle working the head and body with strikes. Lilke is looking to improve his position.
Bugle is working for a submission of some sort.
Bugle is thwarting Lilke's attempts to control the position. Lilke on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lilke tries to get out of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lilke manages to get to full guard.
Lilke preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Lilke knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bugle on the ground. Bugle loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Bugle wants to control from the top but Lilke keeps moving. Lilke escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bugle gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Bugle thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Lilke has his foot on Bugle's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bugle works his way back into a safe position though.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. A combination from Lilke does no damage. Lilke fails with the takedown and Bugle counters by clinching up. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Lilke. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bugle is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Lilke drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bugle pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bugle tries for a takedown but Lilke sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Readen Bugle will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

Bugle is trying to stand up here but Lilke is controlling him well. Lilke is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Bugle sees it coming and defends easily. Bugle is pressing down on Lilke's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Bugle is trying to control the position but Lilke postures up. Bugle preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Lilke stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bugle swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bugle striking off his back but it's not causing Lilke any problems. Lilke has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Lilke circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bugle has his takedown stuffed and Lilke decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bugle's guard. Bugle tries to land a sweep but no joy. Bugle is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Lilke looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Lilke tries to get to full guard but Bugle has control of the leg. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lilke wants to get back to full guard. Bugle tries to pass to full mount but Lilke defends it. Mike Lilke overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bugle wants to stand up but Lilke has a hold of him and won't allow it. Lilke is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Bugle jumps into side control! Lilke is looking to regain half guard here but Bugle keeps moving and retains side control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bugle gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Lilke counters with a shoot takedown. Bugle fights it but they end up in guard. Lilke slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Bugle working a defensive guard here.
Bugle throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Lilke tries to free his leg and advance position but Bugle is retaining full guard. Bugle throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Bugle will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Lilke might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bugle with a poor takedown and Lilke counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Mike Lilke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Readen Bugle. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The fighters are battling for position here. Bugle manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Bugle thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lilke controlling from the top position. Lilke trying to control the position from guard on top but Bugle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Lilke dominated that second round. That's time! Lilke's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bugle looking for a sweep. Not yet Bugle, not yet. Bugle wriggles free and stands up. Lilke throws a lazy right hand but Bugle sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Mike Lilke is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lilke looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Bugle has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Lilke doesn't defend quickly enough and Bugle has managed to lock this one up! Can Lilke escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Bugle on a fantastic submission victory.
