Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bugurt Bugurtov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko Filipovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filipovic needs to keep his hands up - Bugurtov had a free shot at his head there.

Bugurtov tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Filipovic was well out of range. Poor timing from Bugurtov.

A looping hook to the body misses from Bugurtov. Filipovic does a little dance to reset his feet.
Filipovic throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Bugurtov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Filipovic sprawls well initially but Bugurtov persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Filipovic has hold of Bugurtov's hands but Bugurtov slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Filipovic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bugurtov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bugurtov seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Bugurtov thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Filipovic is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Bugurtov asserts his dominance and retains side control.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bugurtov is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Filipovic's shoulder. That is not cool.
Filipovic tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Bugurtov lands strikes from the back and Filipovic isn't doing enough to escape the position. The referee steps in to end the fight.

Bugurt Bugurtov spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
