PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Oleg Nemkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walood Kassab (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kassab has chosen Merauder - Life Is Pain as his entrance music. Walood Kassab told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Walood Kassab!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Illya Tyunina and Fedor Mirinova.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nemkov throws a body shot but no joy.

Kassab gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Nemkov throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Kassab is trying to trip Nemkov. He has hold of a leg but Nemkov is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Kassab persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Kassab distracts Nemkov with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Kassab avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kassab accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nemkov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kassab gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Kassab is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kassab pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Nemkov is rocked!
Kassab connects with a bit shot that sees Nemkov covering up! More strikes from Kassab and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Kassab is our winner by TKO!
