Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Haruko Scarlet!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Blue Aki!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Matheus Silva and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aki lands a nice hook to Scarlet's body. Scarlet takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Scarlet with a lazy takedown attempt
and Aki counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Aki throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Scarlet on the side of the head.
Scarlet could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Scarlet throws a right hand that misses
and Aki counters with a stiff right hand.
Scarlet shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Aki counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Aki steps in with a hook that catches Scarlet right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Aki follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Scarlet looks absolutely devastated.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Blue Aki!
