PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peaky Blinder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodolfo Newton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Blinder might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Dave not Dave - Cold blood. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Blinder enables Newton to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Blinder manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Newton escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Blinder gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Newton has his foot on Blinder's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Blinder works his way back into a safe position though.

Newton has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Blinder can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
