Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Dimov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Shamrock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dimov has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Ken Shamrock has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vladimir Dimov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ken Shamrock!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shamrock looks to land a left hand but Dimov moved out of range nicely.
Dimov fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Dimov is breathing heavily.

Shamrock feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Shamrock controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Dimov is working an open guard so Shamrock takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Shamrock darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Shamrock breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Shamrock looks to land a combination but Dimov avoids it well.
Shamrock throws a sloppy head kick and Dimov moves out of range easily.

Shamrock shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Shamrock pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Shamrock looking for a guillotine from mount but Dimov is having none of it.

Shamrock wants to finish this one by submission but Dimov is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Shamrock.

Dimov is in a horrible position here. Shamrock smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Shamrock pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shamrock gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Shamrock tries to land a front kick but Dimov steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Shamrock shoots in and bounces Dimov off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Shamrock gets to his feet - Dimov follows without any prompting.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shamrock tries to bum rush Dimov with a series of wild strikes but Dimov uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Shamrock clinches up with Dimov and pushes him back against the cage.

Shamrock turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Shamrock looks up at the clock and then as Dimov takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Shamrock smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Dimov's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Shamrock counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dimov won't be happy with that.

Shamrock decides to take the fight back to the feet.
No joy there for Shamrock, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Ken Shamrock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Shamrock throws a push kick but Dimov slaps the foot to one side.
Shamrock has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Dimov avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Shamrock.

Dimov has closed the distance and engaged Shamrock in a clinch.

Vladimir Dimov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Shamrock throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Shamrock swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ken Shamrock showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Shamrock shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dimov's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Shamrock is nestled in close to Dimov, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Dimov is in trouble now - Shamrock has advanced to mount!

Ken Shamrock is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Ken Shamrock comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Shamrock has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
