Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Liam Fitzpatrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matty The Viper Pritchard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Liam Fitzpatrick! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Matty The Viper Pritchard! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pritchard is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Fitzpatrick gets a takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Pritchard is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Fitzpatrick is working for a submission of some sort.
Fitzpatrick seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pritchard has a hand on Fitzpatrick's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Fitzpatrick takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
That's one minute gone in the round. Pritchard is in all sorts of trouble here.
Pritchard felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Pritchard wants to hold on but Fitzpatrick pushes him away. Fitzpatrick controlling the pace for now. Fitzpatrick connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Fitzpatrick takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Pritchard tries to hold on but Fitzpatrick postures up. Pritchard bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Fitzpatrick pulls Pritchard in to control the position. Fitzpatrick has his foot on Pritchard's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pritchard works his way back into a safe position though. Fitzpatrick bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pritchard's guard. Fitzpatrick controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pritchard has his foot on Fitzpatrick's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fitzpatrick works his way back into a safe position though. Fitzpatrick has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fitzpatrick forces his way into half guard. Fitzpatrick trying to control the pace. Fitzpatrick passes to side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Fitzpatrick looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Pritchard tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fitzpatrick wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Fitzpatrick tries to move into full mount but can't pass Pritchard's legs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pritchard being controlled for a moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. You can see the frustration on Pritchard's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Fitzpatrick working away. Fitzpatrick has knee on belly and moves into mount. Fitzpatrick controlling the pace for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pritchard is trying to escape the mount.
Fitzpatrick raining down hammerfists from mount. Fitzpatrick wants to take Pritchard's back but he can't do it this time. Fitzpatrick controlling from the full mount. Pritchard tries to lock up and control but Fitzpatrick gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Fitzpatrick fails to advance to Pritchard's back. Fitzpatrick looking to control and managing it successfully. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Fitzpatrick seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Pritchard for as long as he can get away with. Pritchard is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Liam Fitzpatrick dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Fitzpatrick shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pritchard pinned against the cage. Pritchard gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Pritchard defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Fitzpatrick. Pritchard stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pritchard wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Liam Fitzpatrick. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pritchard lands the left hand. Pritchard scores with a jab to the head.
Fitzpatrick has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Pritchard finds it's way round the side to connect with Fitzpatrick's head. Fitzpatrick scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Fitzpatrick staying calm. Fitzpatrick cracks Pritchard with a big right hand but Pritchard just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Pritchard is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Fitzpatrick's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pritchard is trying to get back to full guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Fitzpatrick in particular looking to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pritchard tries to get to full guard but Fitzpatrick has control of the leg. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Fitzpatrick prevents Pritchard from improving his position. Fitzpatrick winds up and cracks Pritchard with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Pritchard is looking to control Fitzpatrick's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pritchard avoid being mounted? Well, if Fitzpatrick is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Fitzpatrick is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Fitzpatrick prevents Pritchard from getting the reversal.

Fitzpatrick is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Pritchard can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Fitzpatrick is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Pritchard is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Pritchard flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Fitzpatrick anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Pritchard and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Fitzpatrick slips an arm under Pritchard chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Fitzpatrick has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Fitzpatrick is squeezing on Pritchard like an anaconda would it's prey. Pritchard fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Liam Fitzpatrick! Liam Fitzpatrick retains his bantamweight title! A less than humble Liam Fitzpatrick misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
