Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Raj Taj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Neil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Raj Taj!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, David Neil!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Neil gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Taj seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Taj's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Taj has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Taj wants to pass the guard but Neil is keeping the position.

Taj gets to his feet. Neil looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Neil lands a two punch combo.
Taj dives in and grabs Neil's left leg, looking for a takedown. Neil pushes down on Taj's head and hops out.
Neil fails to land with a series of punches.
Taj is looking to counter the offense by Neil and move into the clinch.
David Neil is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

A punch lands to the side of Taj 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Taj swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Neil lands with a good body shot.
Taj walks into a jab.
Taj tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Neil is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Neil bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Taj's head backwards.

Taj shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Neil pinned against the cage. Neil gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Taj tries for a takedown but Neil sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

David Neil dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Neil catches Taj with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Neil darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

The fighters circle momentarily. Neil darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Taj shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Neil sprawls well. Neil wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Taj gets slowly back to his feet.
Taj will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Neil lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

A shot to the liver by Neil. Beautiful body shot.
Neil's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Neil duly obliges.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Taj is defended easily by Neil.
Neil has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Neil, as that shot connected.

Taj is rocked!
Taj shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Oh Taj is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Neil throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Taj stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Taj seems to have got his legs back now.
Neil connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Taj takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Neil throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Oooooh!!! Neil has knocked Taj down with a huge combo! Neil steps away and waves a wobbly Taj back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

The crowd cheers as Neil lands an impressive looking overhand right. Taj doesn't seem phased though.

Neil fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Taj on the side of the head.

David Neil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

David Neil showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Taj walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Neil ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Neil throws a series of strikes that have Taj backpedaling.
Taj shoots in but Neil avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Neil cracks Taj with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Taj lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Neil has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Neil and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

David Neil is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

David Neil comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Neil winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
