Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sandra Leifs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryhti Metti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryhti Metti is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sandra Leifs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ryhti Metti!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Metti avoids a punch combination nicely.
Metti shoots in but Leifs avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Leifs connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Metti looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Metti is working for a submission of some sort.
Metti seems to be working for a kimura but Leifs defends the submission attempt.

Leifs gets full guard.
Metti wants to control from the top but Leifs keeps moving.
Metti throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Leifs works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Leifs working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Metti doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Metti manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Leifs had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Metti is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Leifs Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Metti's back instead.

Leifs is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Metti is defending well though. Leifs let's go of the attempt for now.
Leifs is breathing heavily.
Metti breaks Leifs's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Metti looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Leifs with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Metti finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Leifs throws a series of strikes that have Metti backpedaling.
It looks like Ryhti Metti has been cut.
Leifs throws a right hand that Metti ducks under and follows up with a left that Metti also avoids with ease.
Metti shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Metti was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Metti can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Leifs is looking to escape.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Metti bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Leifs's head backwards.
Metti fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Leifs checks it well.
Metti shoots for a takedown but Leifs saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Metti closes the distance and clinches up with Leifs, looking for a takedown. Metti pushes Leifs against the cage but Leifs circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Metti shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Leifs but Leifs pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
