Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Greg LOADZ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and redheaded Step Child (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Step Child is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Ginger Sex. redheaded Step Child will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, redheaded Step Child!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Steve Montenegro and Dean Styles.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Step Child throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around LOADZ's waist but LOADZ gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Step Child off to one side.
LOADZ fails with the takedown

and Step Child counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in LOADZ's guard now.
LOADZ is trying to control the position but Step Child postures up.

Step Child thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Step Child drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Step Child jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

LOADZ looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Step Child drops back looking for a leg! LOADZ is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and LOADZ manages to kick Step Child off! Step Child jumps back into LOADZ's guard.

Step Child drops back looking for a leg! LOADZ is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and LOADZ manages to kick Step Child off! Step Child jumps back into LOADZ's guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
LOADZ looks to clinch

and Step Child decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in LOADZ's guard.

LOADZ is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
LOADZ could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Step Child drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but LOADZ manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Step Child has LOADZ in his guard.

LOADZ drops back looking for a leg! Step Child is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Step Child manages to kick LOADZ off! LOADZ jumps back into Step Child's guard.

LOADZ trying to control but Step Child is working from the bottom.

Step Child escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. LOADZ gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
LOADZ might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Step Child looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Step Child keeping moving, preventing LOADZ from controlling successfully.
LOADZ is in close to Step Child's body, working some short punches and elbows.
LOADZ trying to control the position from guard on top but Step Child is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Step Child working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. LOADZ doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. LOADZ manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
LOADZ is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Step Child escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. LOADZ gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

LOADZ keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Step Child's head.

Step Child has his foot on LOADZ's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. LOADZ works his way back into a safe position though.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells LOADZ's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Step Child working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. LOADZ doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. LOADZ manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

LOADZ swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Step Child counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Step Child is working for a submission of some sort.
Step Child is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Step Child trying to mount his opponent but LOADZ defends it.
Step Child is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
LOADZ trying to hold on to Step Child's head to control him but Step Child postures up.

Step Child is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

LOADZ is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Step Child has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can LOADZ defend it? Step Child steps over the head and cranks it - LOADZ is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Step Child!
