Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between David Ellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Dantas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Ellis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Dantas! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Alexandre Firmino and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dantas on the wrong end of a nice jab. Ellis forces Dantas back against the cage and clinches. Ellis misses with a short punch on the inside. Dantas tries to pull guard but Ellis forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Ellis misses with some punches.
Dantas tries to circle away but Ellis has him pinned against the cage. Ellis scores with a shoulder strike. Ellis fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Ellis lands a shoulder strike. Dantas drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ellis gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Dantas avoiding damage as Ellis throws knees to the body.
Ellis misses with the head strike.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dantas can't break the clinch.
Ellis tries a body shot but Dantas blocks it.
Dantas tries to pull guard but Ellis forces him back to his feet, against the cage. David Ellis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Dantas. Ellis lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Ellis lands a hook that snaps the head of Dantas backwards. A short right from Ellis.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ellis working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Dantas is rocked! The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Dantas is still on wobbly legs! Can Ellis finish him? A short uppercut from Ellis. Nice elbow from Ellis. Ellis misses with a knee strike.
Ellis lands with a light punch inside. Ellis softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Ellis has Dantas pressed against the cage. He pushes Dantas back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Ellis throws a beautiful elbow that sends Dantas crashing to the floor! Ellis piles on the pressure with more strikes! Dantas is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
