Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dan Gombos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Linus Akerman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dan Gombos is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Gombos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Linus Akerman! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Akerman fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Akerman misses with an uppercut. Gombos saw that one coming. Gombos swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Gombos throws a hook to the side of Akerman's head but Akerman sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Gombos cracks Akerman with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Gombos dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Akerman lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Akerman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gombos swats him away and circles back towards the center. Gombos throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Nice jab there from Akerman. Akerman lands a jab. Akerman is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gombos. Gombos misses with an uppercut. Akerman misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gombos.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A cross from Akerman lands. Gombos drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Gombos slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Gombos tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Gombos fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Akerman manages to avoid it. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Akerman! But no joy. Gombos takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Donk. Akerman catches Gombos right on the button with a cross. Akerman avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Gombos takes a swing at Akerman's ribcage but misses. A nice side step and Akerman releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Gombos digs a good body shot into Akerman's ribs. A jab from Gombos does it's job there. Gombos lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Akerman dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Akerman avoids the body shot from Gombos.
It seemed like Akerman was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Akerman throws the left hand but Gombos avoids the punch easily. Gombos pushing out the jab but it's not landing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Akerman wants to sweep but no luck. Akerman is adopting a defensive guard. Gombos passes easily into side control. Nice work. Gombos wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Akerman, who protects the arm well. Gombos is trying to get an arm triangle but Akerman is defending well. Gombos goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Akerman rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Gombos's guard! Nice work there by Akerman!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Akerman has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gombos is proving hard to escape from. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Akerman is stalling in the full guard. Dan Gombos overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Gombos trying to keep a closed guard but Akerman is proving a slippery customer.

Akerman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Gombos is pulling down on Akerman's head. It's preventing any offense from Akerman, at least for the moment. Gombos is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Linus Akerman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Gombos's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!
Gombos misses with a takedown and Akerman counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. A kick lands to the mid section there for Akerman. Akerman tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Gombos is able to avoid easily. Gombos throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Good leg kick by Akerman there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Gombos changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Akerman tries to avoid it but Gombos manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Akerman to the ground. Akerman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Akerman lands an overhand right. Akerman scores with a hook to the body. Gombos takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Gombos misses with a body shot.
Akerman throws a hook to the side of Gombos's head but Gombos sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Akerman takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Gombos is rocked! Akerman throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Oh Gombos is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Gombos leaves his chin hanging out and Akerman seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Gombos crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
