The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banger fails to land with a series of punches.
Brent Banger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Banger goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Johanessburgson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Banger on his heels. He'll look to pass Banger's guard now, I'm sure.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johanessburgson is looking to pass into half guard but Banger pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Banger is in guard.

Banger would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Banger wants to stand and escape but instead Johanessburgson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Johanessburgson trying to control the position from guard on top but Banger is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Johanessburgson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Johanessburgson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Banger swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Johanessburgson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Johanessburgson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Banger is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Johanessburgson, into his guard.

Banger knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Johanessburgson on the ground.

Johanessburgson is working an open guard so Banger takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Johanessburgson seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Banger is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
