The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hollister shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. David manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. David preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Hollister stands and throws David's legs to the side, diving into side control. Hollister lands a few punches from side control. Hollister wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by David, who protects the arm well. You can see the frustration on David's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. David is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Hollister is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, David has managed to free his arm - good work. David might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hollister is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
