Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Emanuel Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felipe Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Emanuel Alexander!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Felipe Silva!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
That kick from Silva tenderised Alexander's leg. Alexander is trying to keep his angry face on.
Silva fails to land the takedown.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Alexander as he jumps to the side.
Alexander will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alexander swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We've been informed that Silva has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Silva had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Alexander defends it easily.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Alexander is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Alexander can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Silva closes the distance and clinches up with Alexander, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes Alexander against the cage but Alexander circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Alexander drops down looking for a counter takedown but Silva sprawls and moves away.
Felipe Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Alexander swivels and escapes.

Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Alexander swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Alexander decides to stand back up. Alexander steps back and let's Silva get back to his feet.
Alexander shoots for a double leg takedown but Silva sprawls well. He's pushed Alexander's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Alexander pushes Silva off and gets back to his feet.

Silva shoots for a takedown but Alexander saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
