Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby TupperII (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
27 - 34 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby TupperII! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! TupperII shoots in and gets a takedown into Smith's guard. TupperII trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. TupperII stopping the sweep attempt from Smith. TupperII wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Smith avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Smith avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Smith controlling the position. Smith wants to stand up but TupperII is controlling him. Smith has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Smith working a defensive guard here.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Smith on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Smith tries to get out of the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. TupperII drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Smith manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now TupperII has Smith in his guard. TupperII looking to control.
Smith knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for TupperII on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. TupperII keeping full guard, as Smith tries to pass. TupperII is adopting a defensive guard. Smith with a flurry of punches that miss. TupperII is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Smith defends well. There's a bit of a scramble here and now TupperII is on top in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith looking for a sweep. Not yet Smith, not yet. Smith is trying to control the position but TupperII postures up. Smith wants to sweep here but TupperII controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. TupperII drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Smith dives on top into guard. TupperII not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Smith trying to control but TupperII is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Smith is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because TupperII is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Smith thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Smith stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. TupperII swivels though and keeps the full guard. TupperII tries to land a sweep but no joy. Smith trying to control the position from guard on top but TupperII is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. TupperII working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Smith doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Smith manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. TupperII is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Smith defends well. Smith lying in TupperII's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. TupperII decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Smith taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
