Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Wallase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marcus Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Christopher Wallase! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Illya Tyunina and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jones stuffs the takedown. Wallase tries to clinch up but Jones circles away and keeps his distance. Wallase shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Wallase misses with a low kick.
Jones tries for a takedown but Wallase circles away easily and Wallase counters with a takedown into side control. Wallase looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Wallase wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones tries to bench press Wallase off him but Wallase keeps the position. Wallase wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Jones tries to roll over but Wallase keeps him under control. Jones manages to escape and get back to his feet! Wallase shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side. Wallase shoots for a takedown but Jones saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Marcus Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christopher Wallase. Wallase looks gassed! Jones forces Wallase back against the cage and clinches. Stalling in the clinch from Jones.
Jones wants a takedown but no success here.
Jones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones is looking to land body kicks. Wallase looks to clinch and Jones counters with a takedown into side control. Check out the look on Jones's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Jones stands up. Wallase clinches but Jones breaks the clinch and Jones counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wallase won't be happy with that. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wallase is not content to let Jones control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wallase is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Jones asserts his dominance and retains side control. Wallase avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Jones. Jones controls the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Wallase wants to control but Jones postures up. Jones stands up and beckons Wallase to his feet. Wallase darts in trying to clinch and Jones counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Jones trying to move into half guard but instead Wallase has managed to sweep! Jones has his feet on Wallase's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wallase fails with the takedown and Jones counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jones. Wallase keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcus Jones dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Jones fails with the takedown and Wallase holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Wallase goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jones prevents it.
Wallase is trying to break free. Wallase misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Jones.
Jones wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Wallase has him pressed against the cage. Jones is looking to break free of the clinch but Wallase has double underhooks. Wallase fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Wallase landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Wallase manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Jones trying to control but Wallase is working from the bottom. Marcus Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Wallase trying to control the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones is posturing up here but Wallase has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Jones tries to roll out but it's too tight and Jones has to tap! Slick submission there by Wallase!
