Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kurtis Hugs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergei Karaev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hugs kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Ready to Die- Andrew W.K.. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

I looks like Karaev might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Hugs bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Karaev wants to control but Hugs passes easily into half guard.

Karaev wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hugs, who protects the arm well.
Hugs knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Karaev on the ground.

Hugs is not content to let Karaev control the position.
Hugs is trying to work for a sweep but Karaev has mounted him!

Hugs tries to pass to full mount but Karaev defends it.

Karaev has his feet on Hugs's thighs here. He's pushed Hugs off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Hugs screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
