Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kian Kushiel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kushiel's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Welsh National Anthem. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kian Kushiel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Charlie Brown! The judges for this bout are , and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown tries to close the distance and clinch but Kushiel swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Brown fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kushiel looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Brown throws a right and a left that both miss. Brown throws a half hearted mid kick. Brown is looking to clinch. Kushiel will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kushiel shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Kushiel content to stall in guard here. Kushiel tries to stand but Brown is controlling from the bottom. Kushiel lands a couple of elbows. Kushiel has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kushiel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brown swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kushiel passes Brown's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown is trying to maintain the position but Kushiel is very close to passing his half guard. Kushiel is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Brown doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kushiel. Brown flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Brown tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Kushiel has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Brown is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kushiel controlling his opponent. Kushiel working away from the top, dropping strikes. Kushiel lands a heavy elbow. You get the feeling that Brown really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Kushiel postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Brown looks a forlorn figure.
Brown tries to get back to half guard but can't. Brown looks gassed! Kushiel landing strikes from the mount and Brown is in trouble! Kushiel controlling his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kushiel with a couple of short strikes. Kushiel lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Brown hang on? Brown is desperately trying to improve his position but Kushiel has a good base and remains in mount. Kushiel lands a heavy elbow. Kushiel with a couple of short strikes. You get the feeling that Brown really doesn't like being in this position too much.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Brown manages to regain half guard. Good work. Kushiel stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Kushiel closes the distance and clinches. Kushiel escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kushiel doesn't manage to clinch there - Brown circles away.
Brown clinches but Kushiel breaks the clinch and Kushiel counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kushiel. Kushiel stops a takedown attempt from Brown.
Kushiel manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Kushiel looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Brown has picked Kushiel up and slammed him! Kushiel can't keep hold of the triangle and Brown manages to pass to side control! Kushiel is looking for a sweep. Brown is looking to take a break and control but Kushiel is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kian Kushiel dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Kushiel circles away from the clinch attempt and Kushiel counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Brown's guard now. Brown can't keep his opponent in guard - Kushiel advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Kushiel content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Brown is not content to let Kushiel control the position. Kushiel perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kushiel is keen to just control but Brown is a slippery customer. Brown is trying to get back to full guard. Brown is trying to stand.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Brown fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Charlie Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kushiel throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Kushiel gets in close and instigates a clinch. Kushiel unloads a knee to the mid-section. Brown lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Kushiel using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Brown wants to break the clinch but can't.
Kushiel escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Brown digs a good hook to Kushiel's body.
Kushiel darts in and clinches Brown up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kushiel jumps guard.
Kushiel managing to control the position. Brown slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Kushiel looking to control.
Kushiel working for a triangle but Brown defends it easily.
Kushiel wants to sweep but no luck.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Kushiel wants to clinch up but Brown keeps it at a distance. Brown shoots in for a takedown but Kushiel shows good takedown defense. Brown misses with a takedown attempt - Kushiel sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Kushiel chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Kushiel looks to score with a jab to the body but Brown is just out of range. Brown throws a right hand that Kushiel ducks under and follows up with a left that Kushiel also avoids with ease. Kushiel scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Kushiel is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Kushiel tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kushiel is looking to take a break and control but Brown is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Brown manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kushiel's best efforts. Kushiel is tying to control. Brown wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Kushiel tries to stand but can't do so whilst Brown controls his leg. Brown is looking for a sweep. Kushiel is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kushiel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brown keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kian Kushiel dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Brown looks to land a combination. Kushiel sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Kushiel bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Brown struggling a bit here. Brown wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! The referee asks Kushiel politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kushiel prefers to stall for the moment though. Brown tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Kushiel sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Kushiel working the ground and pound effectively.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown tries to improve his position but instead Kushiel has taken his back! Kushiel lands an elbow to the side of the head. Brown is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Kushiel.
Brown tries to roll but Kushiel sticks to his back.
Kushiel just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Kushiel is punishing Brown with strikes - can he finish him?!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kushiel biding his time, looking for the opening.
Kushiel tries to keep control of the position but Brown is staying busy. Brown controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Kushiel working for a choke but Brown is defending well. Brown showing good submission defense here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kushiel trying to control. Kian Kushiel overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Kian Kushiel just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Brown tests Kushiel's chin there with a solid looking shot. A right-left combo lands from Brown. Brown tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kushiel swats him away and circles back towards the center. Brown lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Kushiel misses with a wild combination.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Brown falls off balance throwing a combination
so Kushiel counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Brown avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Brown kicks Kushiel off and gets to his feet. Charlie Brown has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kushiel takes the fight into the clinch. Brown lands a takedown into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kushiel doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Kushiel is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Brown advances to half guard. Kushiel moves into full guard.
Kian Kushiel is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Brown postures up in Kushiel's guard and throws a big left but Kushiel blocks it.
And that's the end of the fight! Kian Kushiel showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kushiel, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
