PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Braumann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Tutchenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tutchenko has chosen Аггробабруl as his entrance music. Ivan Tutchenko told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Vladimir Khabensky and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tutchenko misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tutchenko rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Braumann moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Braumann lands a jab to Tutchenko's midsection.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Bruno Braumann just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Tutchenko tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Braumann wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Bruno Braumann overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Tutchenko flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Braumann seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Tutchenko is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Tutchenko has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Braumann is working away from the top position though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Tutchenko had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Braumann is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Tutchenko Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Braumann's back instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Braumann turns into Tutchenko and is now in his guard.
Braumann not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Well Braumann has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
