Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ryan Howard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Butler! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Butler lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Howard circles away quickly and effectively. Howard showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Butler.

Butler tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Butler ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Jack Butler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. No luck for Butler with that takedown attempt. Howard walks forward, straight into a front kick from Butler. Butler throws a chopping leg kick but Howard manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Howard fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Butler wants to control from the top but Howard keeps moving. Howard had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Butler is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Howard Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Butler's back instead. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Butler counters with a thumping low kick. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Butler.
Ryan Howard is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Butler works over Howard's head and body with a nice combination. Howard closes the distance looking to clinch and Butler counters with a three punch combo that has Howard backing up. Howard nods at Butler to acknowledge the strikes. Butler is looking to clinch. and Howard counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Horrible takedown by Butler or perhaps it was just good defense by Howard which made him look bad. Excellent takedown into side control there by Butler. Howard is looking for a sweep. Butler remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Butler wants to control but Howard is keeping him busy. Butler looks up at the clock and then as Howard takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Butler smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Butler tries to bum rush Howard with a series of wild strikes but Howard uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Butler moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. A nice inside leg kick there by Butler. That's going to slow Howard down. Jack Butler seems to be getting the better of the standup. Butler lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

and Butler counters with a left to the body. Butler clinches up with Howard and pushes him back against the cage. Butler tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Butler unloads a knee to the mid-section. Howard lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Butler lands with a kick to the temple. Howard shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Howard takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Butler catches Howard with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Butler is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Howard swinging wilding here.

Howard is trying to drag Butler to the mat but Butler just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Butler manages to break the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Jack Butler. Well Butler has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
