Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wang Chung!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sewy Cide!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cide stuffs the takedown attempt from Chung. Chung gets slowly back to his feet.
Wang Chung seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chung tries for a takedown but Cide circles away easily
and Cide counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Cide lands a jab to the nose.
It looks like Wang Chung has been cut.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Chung.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wang Chung. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Chung looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Chung fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Chung gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Chung tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Cide is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Chung buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Chung!! Chung is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Cide throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sewy Cide!
