Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ramses Xll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshihiro Asai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Xll might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Karl Sanders - Rapture of the Empty Spaces. Ramses Xll has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A clash of legs there as Asai blocks the low kick.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Asai ! But no joy.
Asai throws a solid leg kick but Xll takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Asai .
Xll lands a lovely overhand right.

It looks like Yoshihiro Asai has been cut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Xll. Asai does a little dance to reset his feet.
Xll on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Xll swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Asai counters with an outside leg kick.
Asai rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Xll counter with a right hand.
Asai throws a hook but Xll avoids it easily.

Asai has managed to clinch.
Xll trying to land knees to the body.
Xll is trying to drag Asai to the mat but Asai just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Asai prevents Xll from breaking the clinch.

Asai putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Xll in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Asai lands a nice knee to the body.

I was talking to Xll's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Xll is breathing heavily.
Xll tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Asai smiles and moves away.
Asai lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Xll moves away from the strike by Asai .
Xll lands a head shot.
Xll has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Asai finds it's way round the side to connect with Xll's head.

It looks like Ramses Xll has been cut.
Asai cracks Xll with a right hand to the side of the head.

Xll is rocked!
A slow jab from Asai misses its intended target.
Oh Xll is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Xll throws a lazy uppercut
and Asai counters with a huge left! Xll is in big trouble! He's backing up but Asai isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Xll from any more damage. A dominating finish by Asai !
