Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Crane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Wibowo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kenny Crane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gabriel Wibowo!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Winston Howard and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wibowo shoots in and gets a takedown into Crane's guard.
Wibowo looking to pass the guard.

Wibowo stands and steps away. Crane gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Wibowo scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Crane throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Wibowo decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Wibowo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wibowo wants it to stay on the feet.
Wibowo drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Crane defends it well.
Crane darts in looking for a takedown but Wibowo gets double underhooks and turns Crane into the cage.

Wibowo wants to control from the top but Crane keeps moving.
Wibowo trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Wibowo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Crane. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Wibowo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Crane had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wibowo defends it easily.

Wibowo wants to control from the top but Crane keeps moving.
Wibowo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Wibowo closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Crane's guard.

Crane working for a triangle but Wibowo defends it easily.

Wibowo has gone for a leg lock! Crane slips out almost immediately though and dives into Wibowo's guard.

Wibowo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Wibowo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Crane doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Crane manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Crane gets to his feet - Wibowo follows without any prompting.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Wibowo is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Crane's half guard.

Crane kicks off Wibowo and gets to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kenny Crane will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

and Crane counters with a single leg into guard. Wibowo didn't expect that.
Crane won't allow Wibowo to sweep him here.

Crane is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Wibowo is positioning himself well to prevent Crane advancing to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wibowo is looking to control Crane's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Wibowo avoid being mounted?
Wibowo keeps control of the position for the meantime.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Crane seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Crane dives in and grabs Wibowo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wibowo pushes down on Crane's head and hops out.
Wibowo drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Crane defends it well.

Wibowo forces Crane back against the cage and clinches.

Wibowo lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Wibowo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Crane does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Wibowo drops an elbow to the side of Crane's head.
Kenny Crane overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Crane is looking to improve his position.
Wibowo is just content to waste time from the top position. Crane takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Crane shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Crane wants to stand back up but Wibowo manages to pass into side control.
Crane wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.

A close second round but Gabriel Wibowo will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Wibowo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Crane has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wibowo has managed to get both his arms back between Crane's legs - danger averted.

Wibowo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Crane sprawls well initially but Wibowo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Crane has one foot on Wibowo's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Wibowo enables Crane to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Wibowo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Crane wants to stand but Wibowo is controlling his posture from full guard.
Wibowo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Crane is controlling him.

Wibowo wants to improve his position but instead Crane has moved into half guard.
Crane throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Wibowo pushes Crane off looking to stand but Crane dives back in and keeps control.

Wibowo tries to get to full guard but Crane has control of the leg.

Crane seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Wibowo trying to hold on to Crane's head to control him but Crane postures up.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Crane is taking a breather. Wibowo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Wibowo gets a clinch.
Wibowo is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Crane is defending well for now.
Wibowo misses with a knee to the head.
Crane keeps control of Wibowo as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Wibowo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Crane fails with the takedown.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A slow jab from Wibowo misses its intended target.
Crane misses with a few strikes there.

And that's the end of the fight!
Gabriel Wibowo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Wibowo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
