The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Paul Tew and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zhai is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Clavette.
Zhai throws a solid leg kick but Clavette takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Zhai.
Zhai uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Both fighters circling a little - Zhai finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Zhai lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Raoul Clavette has been cut.
Clavette lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Zhai circles away quickly and effectively.

We've been hearing reports that Clavette has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Clavette shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Zhai sprawls well. Zhai wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Clavette gets slowly back to his feet.

Clavette looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
